These direct talks present a unique opportunity. We applaud the efforts to address the urgent needs of those affected by the 24 Jun. 2026 earthquakes, expand political freedoms, and advance a more stable, prosperous and future for the Venezuelan people.

The United States remains committed to supporting this Venezuelan-led process, which plays a key role in the President’s three-phase plan to bring about stabilization, economic recovery and political reconciliation, and a peaceful transition.
