Venezuela formalizes expansion of areas assigned to PetroPiar, S.A.

CARACAS, VENEZUELA (By Piero Stewart, Editores Latin Petroleum, 7.Jul.2026, Words: 289) — The national government formalized expansion of the oil operations area assigned to the joint venture PetroPiar, S.A., an entity formed by Petróleos de Venezuela (PDVSA) and the US-based Chevron Corporation.

According to Official Gazette No. 43,410, dated 7 Jul. 2026, the Ministry of Hydrocarbons issued a resolution formally assigning the geographical area designated as Block Ayacucho 8 to the aforementioned JV.
