ARGENTINA

— Baker Hughes will supply three NovaLT™16 gas turbines w/ 3 centrifugal compressors and related services for a pipeline project to support Argentina’s LNG exports. These gas compression units mark the first use of Baker Hughes’ NovaLT™ gas turbine technology in South America, reflecting growing demand for high-efficiency, lower-emissions turbomachinery, according to the co.

MEXICO

— Mexico and the US are said to have agreed to revise a 1944 water-sharing treaty, shifting Mexico’s 5yr quota to fixed annual deliveries of over 400 million cubic meters of water to the US, according to Al Jazeera.

— PEMEX said it is “committed to the responsible management of waste collected in the Gulf of Mexico.” Said waste is sent to disposal plants where it is treated and reused, for example, in asphalt production, the co. said in a post on social media. There are 3 treatment plants located in Tabasco, Veracruz, and Tamaulipas, PEMEX said.

— PEMEX said a supposed gas leak at Dos Bocas is only steam, according to ADN.

— opposition lawmakers in Mexico raised their voices inside the senate chamber in Mexico City to protest a recent oil spill offshore Mexico, reported ADN. 

VENEZUELA

— Venezuela’s interim president Delcy Rodríguez, speaking in a broadcast on Venezuelan state television, highlighted growth of the Venezuelan economy, noting electronic transactions increased YTD in 2026 are up 17% v 2025.

IRAN
