MONTERREY, MEXICO (By Isaac Silvestre, Energy Analytics Institute, 26.Mar.2026, Words: 199) — Through drilling of an exploration well in the Marlim Sul field, Petrobras said it has identified the presence of excellent-quality oil in the pre-salt of the Campos Basin.
Petrobras is the operator of the field with a 100% working interest. Of note, the Marlim Sul Field was discovered in Nov. 1987 through well 4-RJS-382.
