Mexico sends $3bn+ in subsidized fuel to Cuba through Gasolinas Bienestar: El Financiero

MEXICO CITY, MEXICO (By Fidencio Casillas, Energy Analytics Institute, 18.Oct.2025, Words: 221) — Between May-Aug. 2025, Mexico sent more than $3bn in subsidized fuel to Cuba through Gasolinas Bienestar, a subsidiary of state-owned Petróleos Mexicanos (Pemex), thus, tripling the amounts of the previous administration, according to Mexicans Against Corruption and Impunity (MCCI)

During that period, at least 58 shipments were made from ports such as Coatzacoalcos and Tampico, according to reports on 18 Oct. 2025 by the Mexican daily El Financiero.
