SALVADOR DE BAHIA, BRAZIL (By Pedro Silva, Energy Analytics Institute, 20.Aug.2025, Words: 165) — Petrobras received the resignation notice, effective immediately, of the chairman of the company’s board of directors, Mr. Pietro Adamo Sampaio Mendes, from his positions as chairman and member of the board of directors due to new professional challenges.
Upon his resignation, Adamo expressed his gratitude to his fellow board members, the members of the executive board led by Petrobras CEO Magda Chambriard, and Petrobras’ teams for their collaboration during his tenure as chairman of the board.

In accordance with Paragraph 2 of Article 18 of Petrobras’ Bylaws, the board of directors itself may elect a replacement for the chairman in the event of a vacancy., the company announced on 20 Aug. 2025 in an official statement. This election will remain valid until the next general shareholder meeting.
