HOUSTON, TEXAS (By Editors at Energy Analytics Institute, 15.Jul.2025, Words: 236) — Vantage Data Centers entered the Nevada market with a 224MW campus in Storey County just outside of Reno. There, Vantage plans to invest close to $3bn in the project, with over 1,200 individuals employed across the construction and ongoing operations of the campus.
Entry into Vantage’s eighth North American market signals the company’s pursuit of strategic opportunities outside of Tier I locations as it joins major technology juggernauts Google, Apple and Microsoft in the growing region.
Sited on nearly 137 acres, the campus will include 4 multi-story data centers totaling over 1 million square feet. The first 2 buildings are fully leased with the first building scheduled to open in the second-quarter 2026 (2Q:26), Vantage said on 15 Jul. 2025 in an official statement.
Designed to meet the unique needs of AI deployments, NV1 will support densities ranging from 360W to more than 720W per square foot, according to Vantage.
“The campus will have the flexibility to support both traditional air-cooled compute loads as well as next generation GPU loads using liquid cooling. It will feature N+1 electrical redundancy and N+2 mechanical redundancy for enhanced reliability,” Vantage said.
Additionally, Vantage has established a partnership with the Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada (EDAWN) to support workforce development and community engagement initiatives in the area.
