PANAMA CITY, PANAMA (Piero Stewart, Energy Analytics Institute, 2.May.2025) — Spring, Texas-based ExxonMobil Corporation looks to startup its 250,000 barrel per day (b/d) Yellowtail project — the company’s fourth project offshore Guyana in the Stabroek block — in the second-half 2025 (2H:25) while it also expects to take a final investment decision (FID) regarding the 150,000 b/d Hammerhead project before year-end 2025 (YE:25).
The $10bn Yellowtail project will utilize the One Guyana floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel. And, the project will incorporate 51 development wells, 72km of flow lines, 11 risers and 3 umbilicals.
