ExxonMobil again accused by Delcy Rodríguez of stoking aggression against Venezuela

PANAMA CITY, PANAMA (Piero Stewart, Energy Analytics Institute, 5.Apr.2025, Words: 267) — Venezuela’s executive vice president and hydrocarbon minister Delcy Rodríguez strongly denounced what she called actions by ExxonMobil Corporation in neighboring Guyana, accusing the US energy giant of promoting wrongful actions to justify possible aggressions against Venezuela with support of international actors.

Rodríguez said the government of Guyana and other actors were planning an attack on ExxonMobil’s floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) fleet offshore Guyana in the Stabroek block to provoke a potential military escalation between the US and Venezuela.
