HOUSTON, TEXAS (Editors at Energy Analytics Institute, 17.Feb.2025) — Noble Corporation said its marketed fleet of 25 floaters was 74% contracted through the fourth-quarter 2024 (4Q:24), compared to 81% in the third-quarter 2024.
This, primarily due to transitory idle time on the Noble BlackRhino, Noble Gerry de Souza and Noble Globetrotter I, each of which has resumed operations in Jan. 2025, Noble said 17 Feb. 2025 in its 4Q:24 financial press release.
“Recent backlog additions since last quarter have added close to four rig years of total floater backlog and meaningfully reduced 2025 open exposure across the floater fleet,” Noble said. “Recent dayrate fixtures for Tier-1 drillships have been in the mid-to-high $400,000s, with 6th generation floater fixtures between the low $300,000s to low $400,000s per day.”
