Ecuador’s SOTE Transported 104 MMbbls of Oriente Crude in 2024

PANAMA CITY, PANAMA (Piero Stewart, Energy Analytics Institute, 20.Jan.2025) — Ecuador’s Trans-Ecuadorian Pipeline System (SOTE) transported 104,348,303.29 bbls of Oriente crude oil in 2024. This represented a 90.9% compliance with goals set out in EP PetroEcuador‘s annual operating plan. 

The SOTE is Ecuador’s main crude transportation system. It transports crude from 11 blocks operated by EP PetroEcuador as well as 15 blocks operated by private companies in the Amazon region, the state-owned company announced 20 Jan. 2025 in an official statement.
