(DXT Commodities, 7.Nov.2024) — A ceremony graciously hosted by Dongguan Daosen marked a number of milestones for the partners involved, Shenzhen Gas (via its subsidiary Sino-Benny LPG), DXT Commodities, Hartree Partners and Dongguan Energy (via its subsidiary Dongguan Daosen Natural Gas), in bringing the Dapeng Princess and her cargo from Algeria to the Chinese terminal.

She is the first ship of this size that DXT has delivered to China as part of an international collaboration and marks both a prestigious addition to DXT’s expansion into the Chinese market and an “𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘮𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘋𝘰𝘯𝘨𝘨𝘶𝘢𝘯 𝘋𝘢𝘰𝘴𝘦𝘯 𝘵𝘰 𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘪𝘴𝘩 𝘥𝘦𝘦𝘱𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘴𝘶𝘱𝘱𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘳𝘴, 𝘰𝘱𝘦𝘯 𝘶𝘱 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘮𝘢𝘳𝘬𝘦𝘵, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘦 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘷𝘪𝘴𝘪𝘣𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺.”

During the ceremony, Liu Hongqiang, member of the Party Committee and General Manager of PipeChina Yuedong LNG Terminal, delivered a welcome speech, outlining the “𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵 𝘴𝘪𝘨𝘯𝘪𝘧𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘮𝘰𝘰𝘵𝘩 𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘋𝘢𝘱𝘦𝘯𝘨 𝘗𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘴𝘴” and expressed “𝘢 𝘩𝘰𝘱𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘨𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘺 𝘢𝘥𝘷𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘢𝘨𝘦𝘴, 𝘥𝘦𝘦𝘱𝘦𝘯 𝘤𝘰𝘰𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘥𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘭𝘰𝘱𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘫𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘭𝘺 𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘢 𝘣𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘧𝘶𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘤𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘯 𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘨𝘺”.

Chen Zhongwei, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of Dongshi Group, credited the arrival of the ship to the concerted efforts of many parties, not least the efficient operation of the Yuedong LNG Terminal, the stable supply of international suppliers, and the firm support of downstream customers.

DXT praised the international coordinated efforts of the different parties, offering different areas of expertise, first for the successful outcome but also as a foundation for future value creation. Hartree Head of LNG Trading Asia Pacific John-Paul Sikking, Shenzhen Sino-Benny Deputy General Manager Zhao Weiqing, Dongguan Qingneng Development Chairman Chen Xinkai, and Shenzhen Senran Energy Chairman Wu Yuneng also delivered speeches.

The event also celebrated the first return trip of Shenzhen Gas Group Co. Ltd.’s Dapeng Princess. DXT had already commissioned the Dapeng Princess last year, delivering her maiden cargo sourced in Cartagena (Spain) to Panigaglia (Italy). Several other deliveries within the Mediterranean Sea have been performed by DXT since then.

After the ceremony, there was an exchange of souvenirs and the DXT team was given a tour of the wharf of PipeChina’s Yuedong LNG Terminal.
