(Energy Analytics Institute, 23.Oct.2024) — Mexico’s President Claudia Sheinbaum said her government would offer Cuba, which is suffering from widespread blackouts, monetary assistance as well as assistance through the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE by its Spanish acronym).
Sheinbaum, speaking on 23 Oct. 2024 during her daily press conference in Mexico City with the media, said the CFE would also offer the Caribbean island-nation technical assistance to cope with the lack of energy to generate electricity.
Cuba has experienced four straight days of blackouts, which has forced the government to declare an “energy emergency.”
