(Energy Analytics Institute, 19.Oct.2024) — Pemex Exploration and Production (PEP) announced actions and goals it will pursue during the 2024-2030 timeframe under Mexico’s new President Claudia Sheinbaum.
Actions to strengthen PEP include:
• Strengthening and increasing exploratory activity with 3D seismic, in order to promote new developments.
• New developments will be committed to the concept of early production and terrestrial and marine development poles
• Increasing installed marine and land capacity.
• Planning of development poles with strategic supplies: drilling equipment, pipelines, macro-operations and platforms, production facilities and services
• Enhancing operational reliability, efficiency and energy sustainability.
• Strategic zero emissions program; and
• Intensifying the cost reduction program.
