(MEEI, 24.Oct.2022) — The Honourable Stuart R. Young, M.P., Minister of Energy and Energy Industries and Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister met today, Monday 24 October 2022 with Mr. Leonardo Graterol, Vice Minister Gas, Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela on the sidelines of the GECF 24th Ministerial Meeting in Cairo Egypt.
Also in attendance were Mr. Ronnie Romero, Vice President PDVSA, Ms. Penelope Bradshaw Niles, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries and Mr. Mark Loquan, President NGC.
Minister Young recalled his visit to Venezuela in August 2022 and the discussions that took place on matters of energy and other matters of interest between Trinidad and Tobago and Venezuela.
The parties also discussed the volatility of the energy supply, markets and the potential to positively contribute to energy security and stability.
Minister Young and the Trinidad and Tobago delegation also participated in the GECF meetings and discussions which took place on 24 October.
