Petrobras on Letter Regarding Controlling Shareholder

(Energy Analytics Institutes, 15.Aug.2022) — Petrobras, following up on press statements it distributed on 20 July 2022 and 11 August 2022, says it has received an official letter from Brazil’s Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME) ratifying the nomination by the controlling shareholder of Mr. Jônathas Assunção Salvador Nery de Castro for the company’s board of directors.

On 11 August, Petrobras also received a similar letter from the MME regarding Mr. Ricardo Soriano de Alencar.

The nomination will be submitted to the extraordinary general meeting (EGM) called for on 18 August 2022, the Rio de Janeiro-based oil giant announced 15 August 2022 in an official statement.
