Strike Energy Eyes West Erregulla-3 Re-entry

(Strike Energy, 31.May.2022) — Strike Energy Limited (Strike – ASX: STX) provided an update on the appraisal drilling activities at the West Erregulla gas field on behalf of the EP469 JV.

Strike has mobilised the Ensign 970 to the existing WE3 well site and has completed rig up in preparation for re-entry which is scheduled to occur early tomorrow morning on the 1 June 2022. The rig has been accepted onto contract and drilling, casing and evaluation operations are expected to take approximately 45 days.

WE3 was temporarily suspended due to encountering a significantly over pressured zone in the lower Carynginia Formation. Strike has adapted the well design and added additional services to the rig in the form of managed pressure drilling equipment in order to safely and successfully navigate the drilling of the well to final depth.

WE3 is located at following coordinates: 29° 22’ 40.79” S, 115° 18’ 30.70”

Strike Energy Limited is operator and the holder of a 50% joint venture interest in EP469, and Warrego Energy (ASX: WGO) a holder of the other 50% joint venture interest.
