OPEC Sec. General Mohammad Barkindo (from Nigeria) will step down from his leadership post at the organization in Aug. 2022 to make room for Haitham Al Ghais (from Kuwait) for the years 2022-25, state oil giant PDVSA announced in a stmt. on its website.

Pan American Silver Corp. (NASDAQ: PAAS) (TSX: PAAS) provided results for 43 new infill and exploration drill holes totaling 38,460m, all of which contain multiple skarn and breccia intercepts. Highlights include infill hole U-04-22 w/ 233.70m at 44g/t Ag, 4.05% Pb and 5.04% Zn and step-out hole U-08-22 with 174.95m at 40 g/t Ag, 0.17% Pb and 7.95% Zn and 46.95m at 78 g/t Ag, 3.84% Pb, 8.79% Zn, the co. announced 9 May 2022 in an official stmt.
