(Energy Analytics Institute, 28.Feb.2022) — The spill gates of the Afobaka dam will be opened from 2 March 2022 due to the high water level in the reservoir, Staatsolie announced 28 February 2022 in an official statement on its website.
The spilling will take place over a longer period of time, at intervals.
The discharge will take place in a controlled manner, Staatsolie Power Company Suriname N.V. (SPCS) assured
