(Petrobras, 3.Feb.2022) — Petrobras expressed to the National Energy Policy Council (CNPE) the interest in the right of first refusal in blocks to be bid in the Permanent Offer System, under the Production Sharing Agreement, pursuant to Law 12,351/2010 and Federal Decree 9,041/2017.
The company’s Executive Board approved the expression of interest in the preemptive right in the areas of Água Marinha and Norte de Brava, located in the Campos Basin, with a percentage of 30%, considering the parameters disclosed in CNPE Resolution No. 26, of 9 December 2021, published on 5 January 2022.
The expression of interest is in line with the company’s Strategic Plan, with a focus on deep and ultradeep-water assets, where it has demonstrated great competitive edge over the years, producing better quality oil and with lower greenhouse gas emissions.
