Ecuador Eyes Key Oil Sector Actions in 2022

(Energy Analytics Institute, 2.Feb.2022) — The head of Ecuador’s Ministry of Energy and Non-Renewable Natural Resources (MENRNR), Juan Carlos Bermeo Calderón, highlighted key goals the country looks to achieve in 2022.

In 2022, the Andean country looks to renegotiate contracts for a voluntary migration to a participation scheme, develop the Ishpingo field and launch new oil rounds such as Intracampos II, Offshore Round, and Block 60 Sacha, among others, the MENRNR announced 2 February 2022 in an official statement, citing comments from Bermeo during the inauguration of the XVI Annual Energy and Petroleum Meeting -ENAEP- 2022.
