(Energy Analytics Institute, 1.Feb.2022) — The head of Ecuador’s Ministry of Energy and Non-Renewable Natural Resources (MENRNR), Juan Carlos Bermeo Calderón, approved the Strategic Plan for 2021-25.
The plan is seen as fundamental to promote actions that ensure compliance with current public policies and institutional attributions, within a framework of sustainable and environmentally responsible use of non-renewable natural resources, the MENRNR announced 1 February 2022 in an official statement, citing Bermeo.
The strategic plan is based on four essential axes related to 1) economic and productive development of the energy-mining sector, 2) social and environmental responsibility, 3) strengthening of regulation and control, and 4) management efficiency, the official said.
