YPF’s BODs considered and decided to accept the resignation of Ms. Elizabeth Dolores Bobadilla, as director for Class D shrs, for strictly personal reasons, the Buenos Aires-based oil giant said 9 Nov. 2021 in an official stmt. Ms. María Eugenia Tulia Snopek, who had been appointed alternate director at an earlier BODs meeting, has replaced Bobadilla as a director, until the election of new directors by the shareholders’ meeting.

Mexico

Avino Silver & Gold Mines Ltd. said on 27 Oct. 2021, and subsequent to the end of 3Q:21, that it has entered into a definitive deal w/ Coeur to acquire the La Preciosa silver project located adjacent to the Avino Mine in Durango, Mexico. The deal is for upfront consideration of $29.7mn on closing and $5mn due within 12-mths of closing. Further contingent consideration including cash, royalties and a mineral reserve discovery pmt, Avino announced 9 Nov. 2021 in an official stmt.

Additionally, Avino said it officially restarted ops on 3 Aug. 2021 at the Avino Mine, and during the 3-mths ended 30 Sep. 2021, mining activities continued to ramp up and mgmt expects to reach prior production levels during 4Q:21 or 1Q:22.

Mountain Province Diamonds Inc. (TSX: MPVD) announces Mark Wall’s appointment as the President, CEO and Director w/ effect from 15 Nov. 2021. Wall has over 25 yrs of experience in the mining industry, across the spectrum of executive, ops, commercial and sustainability roles. Most recently Wall was the CEO of Streamers Gold Mining, a subsidiary of Hong Kong listed Shandong Gold Mining, one of the largest gold mining cos. in the world by mkt cap. Wall was previously the CCO then COO for TSX listed Nevada Copper, and prior to that, the SVP & Operations Officer for Barrick Gold Corp. (TSX/NYSE).
