Argentina

Lithium South Development Corp. (TSX-V: LIS) (OTCQB: LISMF) (Frankfurt OGPQ) reported the results of a Time Domain Electromagnetic (TEM) program at the Hombre Muerto North Lithium Project (HMN Li Project), Salta Province, Argentina. The 3,287ha project is comprised of six non-contiguous claim blocks. Tramo (383ha) , Alba Sabrina (2,089ha), Natalia Maria (115ha), Gaston Enrique (55ha) , Norma Edith and Via Monte (595ha). The 383ha Tramo Claim Block is the most advanced and is the subject of both a resource calculation and preliminary economic assessment. The balance of the property package has not been significantly evaluated to date. 

Bolivia

Mantaro Silver Corp. (TSXV: MSLV) (FSE: 9TZ) (OTCQB: MSLVF) said its common shares will begin trading on the OTCQB Marketplace under the symbol “MSLVF” at open of markets on 7 Oct. 2021.

Colombia

— Colombia’s President Iván Duque Márquez launched the country’s hydrogen roadmap for the next decade during an event in Barranquilla. The roadmap constitutes a commercial opportunity related to development of new technologies and accelerated growth, the head of state said 30 Sep. 2021 during the event. By 2030, Colombia aims to achieve the following goals related to its hydrogen roadmap: cutting CO2 emissions by 2.5-3mn tons; attracting investments of $2.5-$5.5bn; generating 7,000-15,000 jobs; generating 1-3GW of green hydrogen electrolysis; producing 50 units/yr of blue hydrogen energy; and deployment of a hydrogen fleet of 2,500-3,500 vehicles. The roadmap seeks to provide Colombia with tools to further exploit its wind and solar potential, Duque said.

Trinidad and Tobago

— Trinidad eyes its next bid rounds in 2022 and offers on blks on land, in shallow water marine areas and in deep water marine areas. The first bid round will be for deep water and comprise 11 deep water blks. The second bid round will be for onshore activity and comprise 12 blks. The third bid round will be for the offshore shallow water activity where there are 25 open shallow water blks for consideration. Interestingly 13 of the blks have been the source of recent natural gas finds, Trinidad and Tobago’s Minister of Finance Colm Imbert said on 4 Oct. 2021 during a presentation of the twin island country’s 2022 national budget.

— Trinidad’s gas production is expected to fall 9% to 2.77 Bcf/d in 2021 vs 3.04 Bcf/d in 2020, Imbert added on 4 Oct. Gas production is expected to reach 3.37 Bcf/d in 2022 and thereafter stabilize at 3.6 Bcf/d in 2023.
