(Energy Advance, 17.Mar.2021) — GBS 2021 is the the meeting place for industry executives, experts, government stakeholders, local business owners  delivering networking and valuable insight into the region’s potential; its challenges and the road ahead. GBS will feature a wealth of content, solutions, an abundance of networking opportunities and provide the region with an invaluable platform from which to drive investment, growth and prosperity.

GBS 2021 will have two editions this year:

Virtual Edition: 17-19 March.

Physical Edition: 27-29 October in Georgetown, Guyana.

16 successful oil finds in less than 5 years, more than 6 billion barrels of oil reserves, multi-billion barrels of additional exploration potential, 3 FPSOs awarded and production ahead of schedule in December 2019 make a phenomenal case for the Guyana-Suriname Basins. The United States Geological Survey has estimated 13.6 billion barrels of oil and 32 trillion cubic feet of natural gas could lie in the Guyana-Suriname Basins, making it the 2nd most prospective, under-explored offshore oil basins in the world.

Guyana’s petroleum sector is growing quickly in popularity and importance among oil & gas companies and investors, offering a multitude of opportunities locally, regionally and internationally. It is right therefore that Georgetown should be the host for GBS 2021.
