Companies interested in development of the Conolophus photovoltaic project on the Galapagos Islands have until end of day 5 March 2021 to submit their technical and economic offers with Ecuador’s Ministry of Energy and Non-Renewable Natural Resources (MERNNR).

The renewable energy project is part of the Zero Fossil Fuels initiative in Galapagos, the MERNNR announced early on 5 March 2021 in an official statement.

One offering envelope has already been received and opened by the MERNNR. The second offering envelope will be opened on 26 April 2021. Activities related to the project will end with awarding of the project or a declaration to continue the search for investors in the future should the MERNNR like to proceed with the project.
