SPDC Declares Force Majeure In Nigeria

(Energy Analytics Institute, 14.Jan.2021) — The Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited (SPDC), operator of the SPDC joint venture and the Forcados Oil Terminal in Nigeria, declared a force majeure on the Forcados Oil Terminal Offtake Program effective 1000 hours Nigerian time on Thursday 14 January 2021.

The action was taken after the shutdown of the Trans Forcados Pipeline by operator Heritage Energy Operational Services Limited, SPDC said today in an official statement.
