(Energy Analytics Institute, 8.Dec.2020) — Ecuador’s state entity EP PetroEcuador awarded Trafigura Pte. Ltd. a deal to import 2,800,000 barrels of premium diesel.
Trafigura won the deal with a differential of plus $0.37 per barrel.
Approximately 46 qualified companies were invited to participate in the bid, of which six submitted offers, PetroEcuador announced 8 December 2020 in an official statement.
According to the bid terms and conditions, Trafigura will imported the volumes in 10 shipments of 280,000 barrels +/- 2% each.
The first delivery will reach Ecuador between 18-20 December 2020 and is estimated to be delivered until March 2021.
The purchase of premium diesel will be governed by the Platts ultra-low sulfur diesel (ULSD) pipeline market prompt for the US Gulf Coast.
