(Energy Analytics Institute, 12.Nov.2020) — Brazil’s National Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels Agency (ANP by its Portuguese acronym) will hold its second permanent bid round where it will offer 14 sectors from exploratory blocks in nine basins (Santos, Espírito Santo, Campos, Paraná, Amazonas, Recôncavo, Sergipe-Alagoas, Potiguar and Tucano) as well as two sectors with marginal accumulations in the Solimões and Recôncavo basins (See maps below).

The round, to be held on 4 December 2020, already has 62 companies registered to make offers, the ANP said 12 November in an official statement.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the event will be a hybrid with the public bidding session taking place in person with a reduced number of people, while there will also be a live broadcast so that the public can follow the entire process over the internet.
