(Energy Analytics Institute, 11.Nov.2020) — ExxonMobil Guyana recently conducted maintenance on some oil spill response equipment located offshore the small South America country.
“This maintenance and training activity involved deploying some offshore boom that would be used in the event of a spill,” Exxon said 11 November 2020 in a social media post.
The exercise took place approximately three miles north of Georgetown, offshore Guyana and involved two marine vessels, the Roger White and Bourbon Liberty 308, maneuvering with the equipment.
“ExxonMobil Guyana conducts these exercises as part of our process to ensure we are well-prepared in the unlikely event of an incident,” the company said.
