Merino Avendaño Appointed New EP PetroEcuador General Manger
(Energy Analytics Institute, 2.Sep.2020) — The Board of Directors of EP PetroEcuador and René Ortiz Durán, the chair of Ecuador’s Ministry of Energy and Non-Renewable Natural Resources (MENRNR), appointed Ricardo Xavier Merino Avendaño as the state oil entity’s deputy General Manager.
Merino replaces Pablo Flores, who headed the entity for two years, MENRNR announced in an official statement on its website.
María Cristina Cuello García To Head SCAN
(Energy Analytics Institute, 1.Sep.2020) — Ecuador’s René Ortiz Durán, head of the country’s Ministry of Energy and Non-Renewable Natural Resources (MENRNR) appointed engineer María Cristina Cuello García as the new Undersecretary of Control and Nuclear Applications (SCAN by its Spanish acronym). The appointment was made on 3 August 2020, MENRNR announced in an official statement on its website.
