(Energy Analytics Institute, Ian Silverman, 9.Dec.2019) — Bolivia plans to reduce electricity rates, retroactively from November 2019, in eight of the South American country’s nine departments.
Users in the departments of Chuquisaca and Santa Cruz will be the first beneficiaries with discounts that will reach up to 50%, while users in Pando will not be able to benefit from the measure since the department is not part of the country’s integrated system, reported online media La Razón, citing the country’s Energy Minister Álvaro Guzman.
