Petrobras Deal With Acron Group Flops

(Energy Analytics Institute, Aaron Simonsky, 26.Nov.2019) — Brazil’s state oil company Petrobras announced that ongoing negotiations with Acron Group closed without the companies coming to agreement regarding divestment of the Brazilian company’s 100% equity interest in Araucária Nitrogenados S.A. (ANSA) and Nitrogen Fertilizer Unit III (UFN-III).

Rio de Janeiro-based Petrobras continues to move forward with plans to fully exit the fertilizer business as the company has discussed throughout the year as part of its plans to optimize its portfolio and improve the allocation of the company’s capital amid a push to focus on the offshore pre-salt play.
