PetroEcuador Lifts Force Majeure
(Energy Analytics Institute, Piero Stewart, 20.Oct.2019) — EP PetroEcuador on Oct. 20 lifted force majeure, which had been in effect since Oct. 9, the company said Oct. 20 in an official statement.
The company said oil export operations are expected to resume in coming days while shipping activities along the SOTE pipeline have normalized, EP PetroEcuador said.

Esmeraldas Refinery Programmed Stoppage
(Energy Analytics Institute, Piero Stewart, 18.Oct.2019) — The Esmeraldas Refinery will undergo a programmed stoppage from Oct. 17, 2019 until Oct. 24, 2019 to change the uninterruptible power supply (UPS) in aim to improve the reliability of the operations of the process units and to assure a continuous availability of electrical energy, EP PetroEcuador announced Oct. 18 in an official statement.
