SOTE Operations Reduced To 30% Of Capacity

(Energy Analytics Institute, Piero Stewart, 9.Oct.2019) — Operations at the SOTE have been affected during protests in Ecuador and resultantly operations have been reduced to 30% of capacity, due to the low stock of crude oil delivered.

The flow is currently minimal and does not allow the normal operation of the pipeline, as such why EP Petroecuador technicians decided to suspend operation completely to protect the mechanical integrity of the equipment, Ecuador’s Ministry of Energy and Non-Renewable Natural Resources (MERNNR) announced in an official statement.
