YPF Targets Increasing Production At La Amarga Chica And Loma Campana

(Energy Analytics Institute, Aaron Simonsky, 23.May.2019) — YPF plans to conduct two lateral drilling operations near 4,000 meters and carry out some 80 staged fractures in each operation.

The first one has already begun to drill at the Schlumberger-operated Bandurria Sur and the other will be in Loma Campana, reported online media Río Negro, citing comments from YPF Vice President Pablo Bizzotto.

“Loma Campana will be carried out in two phases since we are going to increase the activity level to five drilling teams,” Bizzotto said.

Production from La Amarga Chica is expected to reach 20,000 barrels per day (b/d) in December 2019 compared to production of almost 10,000 b/d currently, while production from Loma Campana is expected to reach 50,000 b/d by November 2019 compared to almost 9,100 b/d currently, the executive said.
