(Energy Analytics Institute, Ian Silverman, 28.Feb.2019) — Peru’s state company Petro-Peru began repair work along a section of the Norperuano Pipeline (ONP) nearly three months after it was attacked by a community group from the Morona district in Datem del Marañón (Loreto) province, reported online media El Comercio.
The group, which was protesting the election results from October 2018, on 27 November 2018 attached a northern branch of the pipeline along km 193, and caused an estimated loss of 8,000 barrels of oil, according to Petro-Peru’s calculations.
