CARACAS, VENEZUELA (By Piero Stewart, Editores LatinPetroleum, 30.Sep.2026, Words: 185) — Venezuela’s interim president Delcy Rodríguez held a working meeting with the ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Venezuela, Lan Hu, to commemorate the 77th anniversary of the proclamation of the People’s Republic of China.
Rodríguez congratulated the Chinese people on this anniversary, which commemorates the founding of China in 1949 in Tiananmen Square, under the leadership of Mao Zedong.
Venezuelan authorities also extended greetings to the Chinese community for the Mid-Autumn Festival, a celebration that highlights the harvest, family unity, and culture, according to details broadcast on Venezuelan national television on 30 Sep. 2026.
This festival symbolizes family reunions and gratitude for the harvest, where families gather to observe the full moon and enjoy traditional mooncakes.
“With this meeting, Venezuela and China strengthened their relationship of cooperation and mutual respect, while China consolidates its position as a global power in politics and economics,” Rodríguez said during the broadcast.
