Eni said sas will be treated at the NGC gas treatment plant in Soyo, inaugurated in Nov. 2025, and then supplied to the Angola LNG plant for export and domestic consumption.
NGC (Eni upstream satellite Azule Energy, operator, 37.4%; CABGOC, 31%; Sonangol E&P, 19.8%; TotalEnergies, 11.8%) has been operated by Eni before the establishment of Azule, the Italian company said on 17 Mar. 2026 in an official statement.
NGC focuses on the development of the first non-associated gas fields in Angola and is set to both maximize the Afrian country’s LNG export and the utilization of domestic gas for local development.
Azule, a bp and Eni company, produces over 230,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boe/d) and is a key contributor to Angola’s energy development and transition, according to Eni.
