(Energy Advance, 12.Apr.2021) â The Suriname Energy, Oil & Gas Summit (SEOGS) will be hosted virtually from 1-3 June 2021.
The inaugural SEOGS hosted by Staatsolie is the official event for Surinameâs nascent hydrocarbons sector and looks to bring together all the major public and private sector stakeholders across the entire oil and gas value chain to lead the sustainable development of Surinameâs energy industry for the benefit to all.
Described as a âgolden highwayâ and âexploration hot spotâ, major players from around the world are drawn to Surinameâs onshore, shallow and deep-water hydrocarbon plays.
2020 was a remarkable year for Suriname with their first offshore discovery. Apache are now four for four in Suriname and in a new JV with Total. With a fifth discovery by Petronas, Suriname is hot on the heels of Guyana as a global success story.
