BATON ROUGE, LOUISIANA (Steve Stewart, Energy Analytics Institute, 19.May.2025, Words: 447) — Equinor ASA subsidiary Empire Offshore Wind LLC has been informed by the US Department of the Interior’s Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) that the stop work order has been lifted for the Empire Wind project.
The stop work order was issued on 16 Apr. 2025. Following dialogue with regulators and federal, state, and city officials, the stop work order has been lifted and construction activities will resume, Equinor announced on 19 May 2025 in an official statement.
