Frontera and CGX ready to assert legal rights in Guyana related to Corentyne block dispute

PANAMA CITY, PANAMA (Piero Stewart, Energy Analytics Institute, 9.May.2025, Words: 325) — Joint venture (JV) partners CGX Energy Inc. and Frontera Energy Corporation continue under the understanding that their interest in the Corentyne block remains in place and good standing.

“The JV remains firmly of the view that its interest in, and the [petroleum prospecting license or] PPL for, the Corentyne block remain in place and in good standing, and continues to invite the government [of Guyana] to amicably resolve the issues affecting the joint venture’s investments in the Corentyne block,” Frontera announced on 9 May 2025 in its first-quarter 2025 (1Q:25) financial press release.
