MEXICO CITY, MEXICO (Fidencio Casillas, Energy Analytics Institute, 8.Apr.2025) — Borr Drilling Limited received a re-mobilization request for 3 rigs in Mexico. The company also secured new awards for 3 of its premium jack-up rigs.

In Mexico, Borr received a re-mobilization request from its customer for the “Galar”, “Grid” and “Gersemi” rigs, with mobilization to their next operating locations expected in mid-Apr. 2025. Operations on the 3 units are anticipated to resume shortly thereafter, possibily within the second-quarter 2025 (2Q:25).

Notably, these 3 rigs were previously suspended as reported on 15 Jan. 2025 and will continue operations on Petróleos Mexicanos (Pemex) assets under the same contractual terms. The “Galar” will be deployed in the Bacab-Lum field, which will be developed by an affiliate of Borr’s customer under a private investment structure, the company said.
