BELIZE CITY, BELIZE (Aaron Simonsky, Energy Analytics Institute, 12.Mar.2025) — In the past 5 years, Petrobras said it has paid over R$1.1tn in taxes and Government Take (Gov. Take) in Brazil, an amount that was distributed among the federal government, states, the federal district and municipalities.
Petrobras released its Tax Report, which details amounts collected for all levels of government, in addition to contextualizing the tax environment in which the company operates and how taxes influence the composition of fuel prices, the company announced on 12 Mar. 2025 in an official statement.
