(Aaron Simonsky, Energy Analytics Institute, 19.Dec.2024) — Brava Energia S.A. signed a 3-year natural gas supply contract with Comgás.
The contract with the São Paulo gas distributor starts in Jan. 2025 and provides for: 1) the supply of between 150,000-450,000 m³/day of gas, aligned with the demand curve forecasted by the buyer; and 2) a fixed sale price for the molecule delivered to Comgás set at 11% of Brent (in USD per MMBtu), Brava said 19 Dec. 2024 in an official statement.
Brava plans to source gas for the contract from its operations in Recôncavo Baiano, Espírito Santo, and Rio Grande do Norte. These areas are integrated into different transportation networks, allowing the supply profile to be adjusted to the consumption of customers served by Comgás throughout the year.
The agreement strengthens Brava’s gas marketing activities and marks the expansion of its presence in the segment and the Southeast region, the company said.
