(Energy Analytics Institute, 3.Nov.2024) — Build Your Dream (BYD) Executive Vice President and CEO of the Americas Stella Li said the Chinese auto maker eyes producing its first vehicles in Brazil starting in 2025.
Details were revealed during a meeting between Li and Brazil’s President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, the Brazilian official revealed 3 Nov. 2024 in a social media post.
BYD expansion could create 10,000 direct employment opportunities in 2025, rising to some 20,000 in 2026, Lula said in the post on X, formerly Twitter.
