(Energy Analytics Institute, 13.Oct.2024) — OPEC Secretary General HE Haitham Al Ghais said that claims around oil demand peaking by 2030, or even dropping by 25%, “are just that – claims.”
Al Ghais’ comment was posted 13 Oct. 2024 on X, formerly Twitter, by the organization.
Al Ghais also said that OPEC member countries were investing in both renewables and oil to meet consumer demands.
“They are improving efficiencies, implementing low-emissions solutions and mobilizing cleaner technologies like carbon capture utilization and storage,” Al Ghais said on X.
