(Energy Analytics Institute, 12.Apr.2022) — Russia is now the most sanctioned country in the world, after recently surpassing Iran, according to details released by Caracas-based consultancy Ecoanalitica.
“Russia is the most sanctioned nation in the world, with much of its banking system frozen or kicked out of the global financial system,” Ecoanalitica Director Asdrúbal R. Oliveros said 12 April 2022 on Twitter, adding that the actions are “likely to cause short-term complications for the Venezuelan government in accessing dollar cash.”
