“The reactivation of the Colombian hydrocarbons sector is a reality. When we started this government we had nearly 5 years without signing a single contract and today we have 39 exploration and production contracts signed, thanks to the process led by the Ministry and the ANH. This is a fundamental sector not only for the national economy because of its economic contributions to the country’s finances, but also because of its role in guaranteeing national energy security and closing gaps in the Colombian regions”, said the Minister of Mines and Energy Diego Mesa.

The successful outcome of this process will allow us to continue promoting the development of this important sector for the economic reactivation and growth of the local regions.
