Ecopetrol Downgraded By Fitch

(Energy Analytics Institute, 7.Jul.2021) — Fitch Ratings downgraded Ecopetrol S.A.’s downgraded the state oil company’s foreign currency and local currency Issuer Default Ratings to BB+ from BBB- with a Stable Outlook.

The downgrade is in line with a similar action on the rating of the Republic of Colombia. Ecopetrol’s stand-alone rating (without incorporating government support) is maintained at bbb, the Bogota-based company announced 7 July 2021 in an official statement.
